Professor Alexander Knohl
 |
My name is Alexander Knohl and I am the Professor of Bioclimatology at the Faculty of Forest Sciences and Forest Ecology, Georg‑August-Universität Göttingen, Germany. Together with Moritz Jehle we are the contact persons for the SUFONAMA programme
(www.sufonama.eu) at Göttingen University. (http://www.uni-goettingen.de |
|
I teach courses related to climatology and forest ecosystem functioning. In SUFONAMA I teach the module Bioclimatology and Global Change.
My research areas focus on the interaction of forest ecosystems and atmosphere. Specifically, I aim to understand the ecophysiology and biogeochemical cycles of terrestrial ecosystems and to investigate how they respond to a changing environment and to land-use management using field and laboratory measurements and models.
